Behind the Receiver
I have mixed feelings about this video. I tried out a few new things, such as motion tracked light saber blades that almost worked, green screening that actually worked, narration and a CGI tree that's not quite believable. The thing that ultimately keeps me from really liking this video is that it turned out shorter than I planned. By a lot.

This is the first video where we filmed different parts on different days. The sitting and talking part we filmed one afternoon and it took several hours. The outdoor part went much faster. This was partially due to it being pretty cold and us not wanting to be outside longer than we had to.

The editing also didn't take too long, partially because the video was short, and partially because it was mostly narration rather than back and forth dialogue. The longest part of the editing was probably the light saber blades, because as I mentioned before, the motion tracking didn't quite work, so I had to do a lot of manual positioning of the blades.

Probably the weakest point of the video was the punchline. The sonic screwdriver defeating a light saber was an idea I had had for a long while, but I don't think I showed it very well in the video. Because of the poor lighting, which at the time I had no solution for, I needed to zoom in on the screwdriver so it was more visible. Unfortunately I didn't determine this until after the video was uploaded.
